C-band ASE Broadband Light Source

Description

The fibre-optic ASE broadband light source is a non-coherent light source, generated by spontaneous emission from erbium-doped quartz fibre pumped by a semiconductor laser. It incorporates spectral flattening technology to achieve a broadband, flat spectrum. The light source covers the C-band wavelength range (1528 nm to 1569 nm) with spectral flatness exceeding 2 dB. It is coupled out via single-mode fibre with continuously adjustable power output. Polarisation-maintaining fibre output cables are available as an option. Suitable for applications such as fibre optic sensing, it can be supplied in multiple packaging formats.
