Narrow linewidth stable frequency lasers are based on an external cavity design and feature ultra-low RIN noise, ultra-narrow linewidth, high output optical power, and other advantages.
The fibre-optic ASE broadband light source is a non-coherent light source, generated by spontaneous emission from erbium-doped quartz fibre pumped by a semiconductor laser. It incorporates spectral flattening technology to achieve a broadband, flat spectrum. The light source covers the C-band wavelength range (1528 nm to 1569 nm) with spectral flatness exceeding 2 dB.
This light source product provides complete spectral coverage across the traditional C-band wavelengths, with spectral flatness of approximately 1.5–2 dB. It delivers a maximum output optical power of 50 mW, which is power-adjustable, and outputs via single-mode fibre.
This laser employs a butterfly-shaped semiconductor laser chip, with professionally designed drive and temperature control circuits ensuring safe operation and stable output power and spectral characteristics. It is suitable as a seed laser for high-power lasers and may also be used for production testing of optical components, available in either benchtop or modular packaging.
