We have built the IQ demodulation algorithm into the DAQ board for the application characteristics of distributed fiber optic acoustic sensing system (DAS).
The demodulation process of a fiber optic sensing DAS system with the usual coherent optical path is
1. Perform IQ demodulation
2、unwrap the phase and then get the vibration signal.
If we demodulate through FPGA in the acquisition card we can speed up the demodulation computation and make the system computational pressure reduced.
Due to the limited resources of FPGA, so at present we only do the IQ demodulation in the DAQ board, and the phase unwrapping still needs to be realized by the user in the software.
